  1. To apprise Quality Controller and Quality Inspectors of the unit about the standard of garments as desired by senior officers. 
  2. To arrange a PP meeting and a Pilot run meeting before production starts, and to keep a record of this.
  3. To take necessary security measures at every stage of production according to the requirements of buyers and to keep a record of these.
  4. To advise and co-operate with quality controllers of the unit regarding the standard of garments at every stage of production.
  5. To take advice from a higher authority if any peculiar problem arises, and act accordingly.
  6. To preserve samples for every order and to inspect whether the garments are prepared accordingly.
  7. To take effective measures in order to develop the standard of garments.
  8. To carry out proper inspection of garments along with QC and FQC before final inspection by buyers, so that the order is not cancelled.
  9. To prepare & preserve up-to-date records of GPQ.
  10. To ensure whether documents of used and broken needles are prepared and maintained properly or not.
  11. To attend the duty place on time and to follow the company’s rules and regulations.

Qualification of a GPQ Manager in the Garments Industry

Required minimum Qualification
Educational Bachelor’s degree (Educational qualifications are relaxed in terms of experience), better to have a fashion, clothing, or textile degree
Technical Knowledge of Total Quality Management System (TQM), quality inspection.
ExperienceAt least three years’ experience
