The garment quality team works to control quality and is responsible for quality control and quality assurance. Garments QC teams are like the “police” of the apparel industry; they are authorized to stop production at any time if quality falls significantly. Garments quality depends on the quality team’s accurate job duty. Quality control is not an easy job in the apparel industry. The garments quality department is familiar with garment construction, specifications, workmanship, and manufacturing process flows. Extensive background in sample evaluation, Checking, and follow-up. Have knowledge in the quality control process from the development stage to finished products. Duties and Responsibilities of the Garments Quality Team
- Quality control through inspection process throughout the factory manufacturing process
- Able to correspond with the buyer on any technical, approval, information, or approval issue or any other required issue.
- Always aiming for the latest technology for the highest quality, Effective follow-up, coordination, and liaison with the buyer-sample department-merchandiser-factories.
- Follow the buyer’s requirements very sincerely and follow their comments to make a good garment. Always try to make the buyer happy by following their rules & regulations.
- Easy to understand sample status we make a workbook for buyers.
- All types of samples are good monitoring & required to be sent to the buyer for approval.
- Work on Product development according to the buyer’s instructions.
- Work with production teams to develop process flows and helped troubleshoot problems
- Make sure to send a sample according to the buyer’s requirements & personally check the sample fitting with the related mannequin before dispatch to the buying office/customer.
- Implement various types of inspection to ensure quality standards and all technical specification is followed.
- Able to Check block patterns about customers provide the correction.
- Able to support the technical team & quality team re grading technical issues.
- Attend buyer meetings Educate operators about technical and buyer standards.
- Check the shrinkage before bulk cutting accordingly adjusts the pattern.
- Check print and embroidery with approval swatch, and give approval.
- Check the accessories. With approved trim, file wise and give approval.
- Check the fabric lot with buyer approval swatch.
- Make sure all process quality control from style layout start period.
- Performing PP meeting style & order wise.
- Check factory in-house quality procedure and advice to follow our required criteria.
- Check the pattern before cutting if found ok then give permission for trial cutting.
- Perform Pre-final and final inspection.
- Work with merchandising team & coordinate with buyer and supplier.
- Follow up on all kinds of customer-required garments tests.
- Follow up on a quality system of daily production and report to the office.
- Check trial quantity output & give performance report if it ok then offer to buy QC check & take permission for bulk.
- Check inline production garments process-wise and make a minimum of 3 inline reports per style.
- Check initial finishing garments and give approval garments for finishing standards.
- Able to follow up Q.C. in a floor overall cutting, sewing & finishing.
- Keeping outgoing defects percentage in the minimum level.
