Editorial Policy

TextileNotes aims to be a technical reference people can rely on. This policy explains how that is done.

Technical accuracy comes first#

The priority is correctness, then usefulness, then coverage. A page is published only when it gives the reader something practical: a clear explanation, a calculation they can follow, or steps they can apply. Formulas are shown with every variable defined, and worked examples show each step so readers can check the arithmetic themselves.

Calculators are covered by automated tests that compare their results with independently worked examples. When a calculation depends on a company's own method (for example what counts as manpower in line efficiency, or which costs are in cost per minute), the page says so.

Standards and certifications#

Official standards from bodies such as ISO, ASTM and AATCC are copyrighted and often paid documents. TextileNotes does not reproduce them. Articles explain the purpose, scope and practical meaning of a method or scheme, describe general workflow in plain terms and point readers to the official source. A summary never replaces the official standard, and pages say this where it matters.

Claims about certification schemes, restricted substances or legal requirements are limited to what the scheme owners publish. Specific costs, validity periods or limits are not stated unless they come from the official source and are identified as such.

Sources#

Where external research, standards or official documents materially support a page, they are listed in a references section. Sources are preferred in this order: official standards bodies and scheme owners, recognised technical and academic publications, then manufacturers' technical documentation. Content is written in original words; competitor content is not copied or rewritten.

Authorship and responsibility#

Every article is attributed to its author, Salauddin Ahamed Sagar, who is responsible for its content and publication. No author credentials, qualifications or employers are claimed on the site beyond what the author page states.

AI assistance#

AI writing tools may be used to help draft, structure or check text, in the same way as other editing tools. They are never the final authority. The author is responsible for every published page, reviews technical statements and calculations before publication, and corrects errors when they are found. Content is not generated in bulk to target search terms.

Dates and updates#

The publication date shown on a page is the date it was actually first published on TextileNotes. It is never back-dated. When a page is materially revised, an "Updated" date is shown next to the original publication date. Minor fixes such as typing errors do not change the updated date.

Engagement figures#

View counts are real counts from readers. "Most read" and "most used" labels appear only when real data supports them. There are no fabricated testimonials, reviews, user numbers or popularity signals anywhere on the site.

Corrections#

Errors are corrected promptly and transparently as described in the corrections policy.

Sponsorship and advertising#

Editorial content is independent. Sponsored material, if it is ever published, will be clearly labelled as sponsored, kept visually separate from editorial content, and any paid links will carry the appropriate sponsored link attribute.
