Output per operator per day (or per hour). Simple to count, but only comparable between lines making similar products.

Use it for quick comparisons within one product family. For different styles, compare efficiency (which uses SMV) instead.
A line of 40 people makes 1,000 T-shirts in a day: 1,000 / 40 = 25 pieces per operator per day.
With SMV 12 and 480 minutes, that is 25 × 12 / 480 = 62.5% efficiency, which is the number to compare with other styles.
Line efficiency compares the minutes a sewing line earned with the minutes it had. Learn the formula, work through examples, understand what drives efficiency up and down, and avoid the reporting mistakes that make the number meaningless.
