The number of pieces a line should produce in a period at a planned efficiency.

When to use it

Use it to set daily and hourly targets and to plan line loading for an order.

Worked example#

40 operators, 480 minutes, SMV 12, planned efficiency 65%.

Daily target = 40 × 480 × 0.65 / 12 = 1,040 pcs
Hourly target = 1,040 / 8 = 130 pcs
At 100% the line could make 40 × 60 / 12 = 200 pcs per hour
